Where we are
The Ice House is located in Laide, one of the most scenic parts of Scotland, on the Wester Ross coast, north of the Isle of Skye.
We recommend travelling by car due to the area's remote location. Public transport options are limited.
There are regular flights between London and Inverness and the London to Inverness sleeper train is also a popular way to travel from London. Car hire is available either at Inverness Airport or at Inverness Railway Station.
For your reference, the approximate driving time is 1 hour and 25 minutes from Inverness Airport and around 4.5 hours from Edinburgh.
Flying from London to Inverness (and then hiring a car) makes the Ice House very accessible from London. Guests often take the 7.10pm evening flight from London Gatwick and are at the Ice House by 11pm.
